Vous pensiez avoir fait le plus dur en ouvrant votre bo\u00eete de r\u00e9ception mais la liste de vos emails non lus s\u2019allonge? Vous avez lu le mail de cette client-e mais vous ne savez pas comment lui dire \u00ab non \u00bb sans la froisser ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travailler comme freelance dans les m\u00e9tiers cr\u00e9atifs, c\u2019est avoir la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de notre travail. C\u2019est aussi \u00eatre amen\u00e9-e \u00e0 traiter r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement avec des client-es. Bien que tent\u00e9-e de dire oui \u00e0 tous les projets, il y aura des moments o\u00f9 vous devrez dire \u00ab non \u00bb. Cela peut sembler contre-intuitif, mais refuser des client-es peut en fait \u00eatre b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour votre entreprise \u00e0 long terme. C\u2019est parfois difficile \u00e0 dire mais c\u2019est aussi l\u2019une des choses les plus importantes. Il est essentiel d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 le faire pour maintenir votre \u00e9quilibre, votre cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 et votre expertise. Dans cet article, je vous pr\u00e9sente les raisons b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques d\u2019un refus, la mani\u00e8re de le faire avec respect et professionnalisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L\u2019importance de dire \u00ab non \u00bb aux client-es en tant que freelance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dire \u00ab oui \u00bb \u00e0 une mission aux contours ind\u00e9finis est souvent le chemin vers des sentiments de perte de temps et de confiance en soi, de d\u00e9go\u00fbt, de grande fatigue, voire de %!*#\ud83d\udd2a&amp;\u00a7(.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En endossant le statut de freelance, vous avez beaucoup de libert\u00e9 et de flexibilit\u00e9. Vous \u00eates aussi responsable de votre propre gestion et r\u00e9ussite. Chaque nouveau projet peut \u00eatre un \u00e9norme investissement de temps et d\u2019effort. Client-es gourmands et exigences floues augmentent votre charge de travail, affectent votre productivit\u00e9 et votre cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9. Veillez \u00e0 maintenir votre vision cr\u00e9ative dans le respect de votre temps et de vos comp\u00e9tences.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dire \u00ab non \u00bb \u00e0 une mission :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En tout premier lieu, il est bon de se rappeler que dire \u00ab non \u00bb \u00e0 un projet a pour but de vous\u00a0maintenir en bonne position\u00a0dans votre travail. Alors, comment \u00e9noncer vos limites et dire \u00ab non \u00bb avec professionnalisme? Tout d\u2019abord, optez pour le\u00a0respect et l\u2019honn\u00eatet\u00e9. Si vous le pouvez, communiquez clairement vos\u00a0limites budg\u00e9taires et de temps, et encouragez le reste de la discussion \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0. Vous pouvez par exemple dire que vous parlerez avec plaisir du projet quand vous aurez termin\u00e9 avec votre travail en cours qui prendra fin \u00e0 telle date. Vous rencontrerez la plupart du temps leur compr\u00e9hension \ud83d\udc4c. Certains attendront que vous vous lib\u00e9riez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En gardant vos limites \u00e0 l\u2019esprit, vous pouvez dire \u00ab non \u00bb sans crainte de compromettre votre relation. M\u00eame si cela demande un effort avant de se sentir \u00e0 l\u2019aise dans l\u2019art de dire \u00ab non \u00bb,\u00a0les r\u00e9sultats en valent toujours la peine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Passons \u00e0 la pratique : vos crit\u00e8res de d\u00e9cision pour dire \u00ab non \u00bb avec assurance.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 vous d\u2019\u00e9tablir votre liste de crit\u00e8res. Voici les miens en guise d\u2019exemple :\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Votre client-e a t il envoy\u00e9 son mail \u00e0 la bonne personne ?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2611 non<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9ventuellement, orientez votre client-e vers d\u2019autres experts : copywriters, consultant marketing, agence d\u2019illustrateurs, studio d\u2019animation ou autres. Si vous ne pensez pas \u00eatre la bonne personne pour la mission propos\u00e9e, il peut \u00eatre utile de d\u00e9crire ce en quoi vous pouvez l\u2019\u00eatre.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un exemple v\u00e9cu : Une maison d\u2019\u00e9dition de livres jeunesses me propose un projet dont le sujet m\u2019int\u00e9resse avec un budget tr\u00e8s r\u00e9duit. Je dis \u00ab non \u00bb \u00e0 la mission propos\u00e9e mais je dis que je serais ravie de cr\u00e9er des couvertures de leurs romans. Ce que je garde pour moi : avec un budget r\u00e9duit, j\u2019accepterais un projet\u00a0s\u2019il m\u2019inspire, s\u2019il est rapide \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser et s\u2019il sert \u00e0 enrichir mon portfolio\u00a0(\u00e0 d\u00e9faut de mon portefeuille).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Le brief est-il pr\u00e9cis ? Les demandes des client-es sont-elles explicites ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2611 non<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Orientez la discussion pour obtenir le\u00a0maximum d\u2019informations\u00a0et prendre une\u00a0d\u00e9cision\u00a0rapidement (il est bon de lister les \u00e9l\u00e9ments essentiels \u00e0 une bonne prise de d\u00e9cision : y a-t-il une charte graphique \u00e9tablie \u00e0 respecter ? Si oui laquelle ? Quelle est la deadline ? Quelle est l\u2019enveloppe allou\u00e9e pour la mission? etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Les client-es ont-t-ils un budget d\u00e9fini ?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2611 non<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon les \u00e9l\u00e9ments fournis, je vous conseille d\u2019annoncer un tarif\u00a0d\u00e8s les premiers \u00e9changes. M\u00eame une fourchette de prix permettra de donner un rep\u00e8re et aura l\u2019avantage de\u00a0faire le tri tout en gagnant du temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Est ce que le sujet m\u2019int\u00e9resse ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2611 non<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Soyez honn\u00eate.\u00a0Il suffit que vous vous sentiez d\u00e9phas\u00e9 avec le projet, la th\u00e9matique, ou la marque : cela vous emp\u00eachera de\u00a0donner le meilleur de vous-m\u00eame.\u00a0C\u2019est une bonne raison de dire \u00ab non \u00bb. Le plus, pour ne pas laisser les client-es dans le d\u00e9sarroi : en tant qu\u2019expert-e, vous pouvez\u00a0les orienter\u00a0vers un profil qui vous semble mieux\u00a0correspondre \u00e0 la demande.\u00a0Que ce soit vers quelqu\u2019un que vous connaissez personnellement ou non, profitez-en pour faire savoir que vous \u00eates une mine d\u2019informations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Est-ce que le projet pourra servir \u00e0 ma propre communication et \u00e9toffer mon portfolio ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2611 non<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si vous pensez que le projet ne servira pas votre portfolio concentrez vous sur le\u00a0rapport temps\/argent.\u00a0Tout comme le\u00a0minimum de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration\u00a0que vous acceptez pour cette mission, il est bon de pr\u00e9ciser le\u00a0temps\u00a0que vous pouvez d\u00e9dier \u00e0 ce projet, l\u2019\u00e9nergie que vous pensez pouvoir d\u00e9ployer avec\u00a0s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9.\u00a0Plut\u00f4t une semaine, un mois, un jour ?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le petit + : un bon rep\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9valuation de la qualit\u00e9 du studio ou de l\u2019agence qui vous contacte\u00a0: Est-ce que le studio\/agence mentionne en l\u00e9gende de ses projets sur son site les freelance qui ont collabor\u00e9 ? oui\/non, si non : mon exp\u00e9rience m\u2019a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e que les studios\/agences ne mentionnant pas la liste des personnes salari\u00e9es ou freelance ayant collabor\u00e9 aux projets ont toujours tir\u00e9 sur la corde \u00e0 d\u2019autres moments en cours de mission.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019id\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale lorsque un-e client-e arrive dans ma salle d\u2019attente (ma bo\u00eete mail) c\u2019est de rapidement diagnostiquer sa pr\u00e9sence dans mes mails \ud83d\udd0e et de l\u2019orienter du mieux possible \ud83d\udca8 sans perdre ni temps ni \u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">En r\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, chi va piano va sano !<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour moi une demande urgente est r\u00e9dhibitoire, souvent signe d\u2019une organisation bancale du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la demande. Prendre\u00a0le temps de la r\u00e9flexion\u00a0et\u00a0refuser la pr\u00e9cipitation\u00a0sont mes principes de travail bien r\u00f4d\u00e9s. Alors je prends mon clavier pour r\u00e9pondre : \u00ab j\u2019ai bien lu votre email, je vais prendre le temps de l\u2019\u00e9tudier et revenir vers vous dans la semaine \u00bb, \u00e7a ne mange pas de pain. Prendre son temps pour \u00eatre\u00a0en confiance avec la d\u00e9cision prise, c\u2019est se positionner en tant qu\u2019experte :\u00a0ferme et polie\u00a0tout en r\u00e9orientant les client-es vers ce qui semble mieux convenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dire \u00ab non \u00bb c\u2019est aussi se promettre que nous serons disponibles pour la\u00a0bonne mission, pour les\u00a0bonnes raisons, avec un\u00a0bon projet\u00a0correspondant \u00e0 nos propres\u00a0crit\u00e8res.
