For the 200th issue of MAIF Magazine, I created editorial illustrations that capture winter moments: wonder, human warmth, and connections. This collaboration marks my third project for MAIF, a French mutual insurance company committed to social responsibility.
The brief: Creative freedom to illustrate different sections with a light and humorous touch, transforming complex financial topics into accessible visual narratives.
The challenge: Small-format illustrations that remain clear and legible on very thin newsprint as well as in the digital version.

The agenda illustration captures the first snowfall: a child with their parent, a couple embracing, an elderly man — all looking up in shared wonder.
Initially conceived as a small framed vignette, I reimagined it as a large-format composition with a clean design, fully unlocking its graphic and colorful potential. This expanded version now features in my prospecting materials — proof that editorial work can reach beyond its original format.

For the “Editor’s word” section dedicated to “Zinzins” (institutional investors), the MAIF team envisioned a Superman-style hero revealing the MAIF logo. As an alternative, I first proposed a bodybuilder lifting massive weights.

Through an open dialogue, we explored both directions and went with the superhero concept. These creative exchanges are what I enjoy most about collaborations: listening, proposing, refining together.

Throughout this issue, my illustrations covered a wide range of subjects: member portraits, a feature on value and money (savings, green investments, ecological transition), all the way to solar panel installation.

Style-wise, I drew inspiration from Franco-Belgian comic strip classics: clean lines, expressive characters, and a familiar touch.
A consistent palette creates visual unity across varied themes, while the diverse characters naturally reflect the real MAIF members the company supports.

This winter issue closes my trilogy with MAIF Magazine. MAIF regularly rotates illustrators to bring fresh perspectives.
This collaboration was smooth and creatively enriching, thanks to clear communication and mutual trust.
